Hey everyone. I’m leaving for KL in a few hours and will be back in a couple of days. Please excuse any delay in our mail/sms replies over the next few days. We will get back to you as soon as we can.
Before I go, here’s some sneak previews from Lawrence & Peirong’s wedding day.

A while back, I got to witness & capture the beautiful wedding of Adrian & Ivy, one of the couples we hold close to our hearts (I believe I speak for Jonathan too hehe). From the initial meetups to supper / drinks nights, it was always a privilege & pleasure to be in their company. Had it not been for the unfortunate ash cloud that threatened flight cancellations and my tight schedule back in Singapore, I would have spent even more wonderful time (still rue to this day) with the lovely couple in Berlin for their romantic bridal shoot with Jonathan. It’s a bummer that they are back in Hong Kong (for work) so soon after their big day, but that’s life and I wish them all the best and hopefully produce little adrian and little ivy soon! And guys, you can be sure I will head on over to HK and catch up, as soon as I find some time to pry myself away from Singapore!
Here’s the express slideshow I made for the couple, for those who wants to relive the beautiful day.
Amidst the gloomy outlook over the past few days (being down with flu and all) I received some good news which cheered me up a little. I submitted 4 images for the International Photography Awards (IPA) a few months back, of which 2 of them received Honorable Mention! Obviously it is disappointing not to get the top prizes but considering there were nearly 15,000 submissions from 103 countries across the globe. Coming up against so many top photographers worldwide and appearing in the honorable mention list ain’t too shabby anymore if you ask me
IPA is a sister-effort of the Lucie Foundation, where the top three winners are announced at the annual Lucie Awards gala ceremony. The Foundation’s mission is to honor master photographers, to discover new and emerging talent and to promote the appreciation of photography. Since 2003, IPA has had the privilege and opportunity to acknowledge and recognize contemporary photographers’ accomplishments in this specialized and highly visible competition. Visit www.photoawards.com for more details.
Here are the 2 shots that got into the Honorable Mention list.
Honorable Mention in People – Children category for the winning entry “Joy”
Honorable Mention in People – Wedding category for the winning entry “Unwavering Love”
Having recently received an invitation to do a bridal shoot in San Francisco, Wendy & I will be embarking on a return trip to the very beginning of our relationship, and boy do we have a deal for all you folks looking to do overseas bridals with us. For those not in the know, Wendy and I met in San Francisco back in 1996, and we spent the next 7 years of our lives together before returning to Singapore in 2003. We literally had to travel halfway round the world to find each other, and were married on 11th November 2005.
After much discussion with my dear wife, we couldn’t think of a better way to make this trip to San Francisco a more memorable one for us, than to share the experience with you!
As always, road trips with clients entail more than just taking pictures in beautiful places. We’ll be bringing you around our memories and sharing our stories, in an attempt to create your very own. By the time you’re done with the shoot, you’ll be wishing you didn’t have to leave! Fret not, ’cause you’ll have a wedding album that others can only dream of.
As part of our 5th wedding anniversary celebrations, couples who sign up for shoots in San Francisco during this period will not be charged airfare and accomodation costs! Shoots will take place between November 10th – November 17th, 2010.
Do drop us an email at inquiry@expressivelyjoho.com, should you like to embark on this epic journey with us!
Some shots to share from Daniel & Yvonne’s wedding day. Amazingly, I have another couple next year called Daniel & Yvon (sans the ne at the back). These names must be a heavenly match!
I was fortunate enough to be able to cover one of the last weddings held in CHIJMES. It was a beautiful evening with a beautiful setting and I hope my images have done the lovely event justice. Here’s some preview shots for the lovely couple.
